How to stop the lightdm upstart user session?

Asked by b3nmore on 2014-06-24

This is related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1322275. It seems, that the upstart user session (started by init --user --startup-event indicator-services-start) never gets stopped, thus blocking closing the logind session. So whose responsibility is it to stop the user session?

It's not the responsibility of lightdm - LightDM just runs the command specified in the .desktop file from /usr/share/xsessions. The session should clean up after itself.

Can you help with this problem?
