Cursor theme

Asked by João Guerra

Hello,

Is there a way to customize the cursor theme? I've been looking at data/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf and it doesn't seem so.

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Open' state without activity for the last 15 days.

Meh, don't expire it. Bad rule imho.

Sorry for so long response.
There are no difficulties to implement this, maybe later - as part of larger changes (low priority).

FreeNode#Earnestly commited a patch which enables Custom Cursor Support.

Here is the Package: https://ptpb.pw/doXG.tar.gz

Just put into your lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf the option »cursor-theme-name = <cursortheme>« and it will work!

Thanks to him!

was this fix ever pushed into the main source? Or is this fixed only in the tar file above?

FWIW I independently came up with a patch that allows changing cursor theme as well as cursor size, I submitted the changes here https://code.launchpad.net/%7Eppbogdan/lightdm-gtk-greeter/cursor-theme/+merge/324378 (currently waiting to be reviewed).
