Gtk3 dark theme variant support

There is an option in GTK3 applications to run in one of two variants: light or dark. It is possible to set environmental variable GTK_THEME to <theme-name>:<variant>, e.g. GTK_THEME=Adwaita:dark gnome-terminal.

Is there any suitable method to do so with lightdm-gtk-greeter?

There is no way to do it now. Supporting this feature does not require too much efforts. Maybe in future version.
