Are there future plans to add a curses/cli frontend or dbus support?

Asked by James

I haven't explored the code base, but I wanted to know if there were plans to support/add a cli or curses frontend ?
It would be a great benefit to me to use the gtk version most of the time, but be able to login remotely and use a terminal frontend via ssh.
As another comment, would this project be interested in exposing it's interfaces over dbus, so that other front ends could be added ?

cheers!

There is no plan a.t.m for a curses frontend or anything like that but, the idea is interesting. I don't think that I will be able to find time for that in the near future. If someone volunteers to do it, will be very pleased.

As for the dbus interface, the time will come for stuff like that but before that there are some steps to be taken. a little patience please. And, again, any help can bring the future closer...

Regards!

that's all fine... I only ask as a prelude to knowing if these types of patches would be accepted, and if they would merge well with the existing design, since i haven't taken a good look at all the code.
