Font scaling option and probelms with merging cross platform diary versions

Asked by Uday Kumar

Hi,
My Dad uses Lifeograph as his primary Personal Diary Software and he loves it. But with the latest version (v1.6) the font size has decreased and he's having trouble reading his old entries.
I was wondering if there's a way to scale the font size to our comfort?

Frankly, I think Linux users can benefit from this feature too, given that some users might want a smaller font size and others might want a larger font size.

Also, I was just wondering why you choose Flatpak over Snap.

And another thing, if I try to import a diary made on Windows Version of Lifeograph, onto the Linux Version of a Diary, the tags are duplicated.
Let me clarify,
Say my main diary (with hundreds of diary entries) is on Linux (Ubuntu) and I have another diary file (with about 50 diary entries) on Windows. Both these diary files have some common tags. If I try to import the smaller diary file into my main diary file, all the common tags get duplicated, instead of getting merged.
What should I do about this?

Hi,

Font size is controlled through themes. Click the Untagged in the tag list and click on the Font: in the Theme preview to change the font size (as well as typeface of course).

Flatpak was chosen because Snap feels to much Ubuntu dependent. That being said, in the future Snap support may also be added.

While importing please make sure that you set the action to OVERWRITE or IGNORE according to your needs to avoid duplication.

Hello Ahmet,

The font scaling option works via the tag themes. I wasn't aware of that.

Thanks for the explanation on Snap and Flatpak. I understand.

About the tag duplication, I think I already tried those 2 options. I did that a while ago and don't remember. Regardless, I'll try it out again, and if the issue still persists, I'll open a new question dedicated to that.

Thank you so much for the response. I really appreciate it.
Oh and one more thing, I LOVE LIFEOGRAPH, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING SUCH AN AMAZING SOFTWARE OPEN SOURCE!!!!
You probably get this a lot, but still, I just wanted to say that.
