Clarity on License

Asked by Madhav NV

I wanted to get a clarity on whether the libsvg-android is licensed under GPL v3 or LGPL, because the Overview page (https://launchpad.net/libsvg-android) says "libsvg-android itself is licensed under GPL v3, and is therefore requiring that you let it remain free, and that you let your software also be free." but when we try to browse the source code(http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~pltxtra/libsvg-android/main/files/head:/jni/libsvg-android/) i see that there is a file called COPYING.LESSER under libsvg-android directory. I am planning to use this library for commercial product so i wished to get the clarity on this.

Hi,

if you do not wish to license your application under GPLv3 please use some other library instead. For example:

http://code.google.com/p/svg-android/

or perhaps a commercial one like:

http://dzenbit.com/svg-native-library-for-android/

   Best Regards
