how to setup a dumb minimalised ravatar server

Asked by Christoph Anton Mitterer

Hi.

I'd like to run the ravatar backend / "server" on my own servers.... but, given that I’ll serve only myself (=> ~5 email addresses)... having a full-blown installation with LDAP, postgresql, and all the other dependencies (https://gitorious.org/libravatar/libravatar/blobs/master/INSTALL.md)... seems way overkill.

Even Surrogtor seems overkill, for my purposes, AFAIU...

Shouldn't it be possible.... to have the files simply served by Apache? ... Or are things more complicated.

Cheers,
Chris.
