Hello,

First of all I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the developers involved in this project. This was indeed the missing piece of the puzzle: notify-osd notifications for Firefox and Thunderbird!

I've tested it in Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 (20090409) on Ubuntu 9.04 RC and it works wonderful!

I don't know if it's a bug, but I just wanted to tell you guys that if a user has the "Show an alert" option enabled (and many have it), in the Edit -> Preferences -> General under 'When new message arrive' area, the Thunderbird default notifications will also appear :)

For example: If I receive an e-mail, the default notification will pop-up in tray, and when it's gone, the notify-osd will appear.

Anyway, if you uncheck the "Show an alert" option, the default notifications will not appear anymore, only the notify-osd ones... as it's supposed to.

I really love this project, and if I can be of any help.... just let me know! Can't wait for the Firefox version to work!

Great that you like this add-on !

Concerning your previous intervention about 'Show an alert', I'm already aware of the problem. I guess the best solution will be to disable this option while the add-on is install.

To keep track of the problem and the according solution. May you add a bugs report. Thanks

Hi,
also very thanks from me for this nice addon.
I would like to say that the previous version was not so bad. Since Indicator cannot play sounds, it would be nice to allow Thunderbird to play its own notification sound.

Is it planned that Indicator can play sounds?
