RS232->RS485 converter: will it work?

Hi!
My name's Luca, I'm going to write a small program to talk (via MODBUS) to a PLC, and I was thinking about using your great library.
My concern is: I have to use a hardware serial converter, since the controller PC has a rs232 and the PLC talks through rs485.
Do you have any experience with this kind of stuff? Should your library work fine?

Yes, you need some specific converter and yes, you can use libmodbus to talk with RS485 device
