Translation bot via the new API

Asked by Alex Eftimie

Hi,

I am a member of the Ubuntu Romanian Translators Team. We have a long standing issue with how some letters in our language are written, ș and ț versus ş and ţ . Currently translations contain both forms (cedilla and comma), so we need to replace old diacritics to the correct ones.

Is it possible to create a `translation bot' using the new LP Python API to do that for us, automatically?

Thanks,

There is no API to the translations subsystem yet. Once the Translations team start exporting the API, that's probably something you could script with it.

I suggest you file a bug on launchpad-translations and link this question to provide a use case for them.

Cheers
