Do I need to create a bug report for this or is this solvable via FAQ

Hi Daniel,

You should be able to unsubscribe at https://launchpad.net/launchpad-project/+subscribe.

If that doesn't help, please can you paste the body text of some bug mail you want to unsubscribe from? Specifically the bit at the end, after the "--", which includes a phrase beginning "You received this bug notification because".

Gavin.

Daniel,

Please try to find the section from the bottom of some unwanted bug mail. It'll help me track down what's going on. Alternatively, please forward - to <email address hidden> - some unwanted bug mail.

Gavin.

Thank you I will but I get a ton of them so don't iggy me fast
The ones that I have unsubscribed from are the ubuntu one
and what I have seen on the launchpad suite projects that I
am subscribed but they go pretty deep is there a search capacity for this

That is search to find which packages you recieve the mail from from the launchpad itself or must it be done in reverse

I agree that there should be a search or a page that helps you discover all your bug subscriptions. I'm almost 100% sure that there's a bug filed for that. The next best thing is the paragraph of text at the bottom of each item of bug mail, or the content of the X-Launchpad-Message-Rationale header. You can read more about the format of bug mail at https://help.launchpad.net/Bugs/Subscriptions.

Hi Daniel,

One the the Launchpad OSAs just checked the database, and you do still have a subscription active for launchpad-project, aka Launchpad Suite. Please check https://launchpad.net/launchpad-project/+subscribe again, uncheck "I want to receive these notifications by e-mail" and save the changes. I don't know of any bugs in this area, so let me know if you see something unexpected.

Gavin.

If anyone else needs to investigate bug mail subscriptions, for Daniel or someone else, the query at http://paste.ubuntu.com/367443/ gives an overview of the structural subscriptions for a user. It needs to be run by a Launchpad OSA <https://launchpad.net/~canonical-losas> or someone else with SELECT access to Launchpad's production database.

There must be a period for the server to update this also because even after I unsubscribed I immediately recieve a mail

There can be delays sending mail, and our systems do try to batch up bug changes, so it was probably generated shortly before you unsubscribed. After about 10 minutes, Launchpad will no longer be emitting bug mail for launchpad-project ("Launchpad Suite") to you. (Also, I've confirmed with the Launchpad OSAs that you have successfully unsubscribed.)

Please get back in touch if you're still getting mail for launchpad-project in a day or so.

Gavin.

This may have happened due to edge redirect because I had unsubscribed but when I stopped edge it looks like it took

Maybe a bug for edge

Yes it has unsubscribed me to the new but previous
ones that I commented on they must
be unsubscribed individually on each bug page

Daniel Stone suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #570: “How do I stop emails from Launchpad bug reports?”.

I read that FAQ and followed the link there but I still do not see how to UNSUBSCRIBE from the bug reports that I am subscribed to.

This is truly ridiculous. I just want to UNSUBSCRIBE. There should be a link in EVERY SINGLE EMAIL. This is like a spam site.
