Can't change project details

Asked by Jürgen Mülbert

Hi,

i you two problems on the same project (https://launchpad.net/installbuilder).
The first: i can not change the details. i have this tried with: firefox, arora, windows firefox, windows safari, windows chrome and finaly elinks. I have seen by changing the project details elinks will fetch 88 MiB of data. If this good ? I like remove the license text and set only the link to the license...
The second: Unfortunately if a comercial product exists with the name installbuilder. Therefore i think its the best my project become a other name. I've at the moment just the idea rename to "jminstallbuilder". Can i this make after the release problems with change details ? Or can you make this for me ?

Bye for now!

Jürgen

This is not a bug in the code.

Hi. Jürgen.

I have seen you edit your project several times (because I review all license changes). A Launchpad admin can change the launchpad id to "jminstallbuilder".

When I use the "Change details" link for my projects, I see the license details box displyed. Do you? I wonder if javascript is required to edit the information?

Hi Curtis,

when i click the detail-button, the firefox dim, and load, and load, and load. The "Error Console" of the Firefox say:

script too large

timeline_iframe is not defined
https://launchpad.net/installbuilder Line 56981

This error occurs only by the installbuilder not by my other projects.....

I am shocked that that error is in production. It was in edge and we did fix it. I think that bad code was set leaked to production. JavaScript is not needed to load the project page or edit the project details. This will be fixed in production in about 2 days when we release the next version of launchpad. You can edit the license directly from this url:
    https://launchpad.net/installbuilder/+edit
