Plone project setup needs an overhaul

Asked by Hanno Schlichting

I originally asked this question at https://answers.launchpad.net/rosetta/+question/7971 but was sent over here.

After Carlos feedback the remaining tasks are:

- Completely remove all of the following products / projects including all releases/pot/po files:

Plone (https://launchpad.net/plone)
Archetypes (https://launchpad.net/archetypes)
AT Content Types (https://launchpad.net/atcontenttypes)
AT Reference Browser Widget (https://launchpad.net/atreferencebrowserwidget)
Lingua Plone (https://launchpad.net/linguaplone)
Plone Language Tool (https://launchpad.net/plonelanguagetool)

- Rename the Plone product (https://launchpad.net/cmfplone) to use the now available https://launchpad.net/plone url and make the Plone team (https://launchpad.net/~plone) the owner of the product.

- Make the Plone team the owner of the "The Plone translators" translation group, so we can add new members to it ourselves.

Thank you for your great service,
Hanno

I just noticed somebody else claimed to be part of the Plone project: https://launchpad.net/patentgroupware. This project should not be linked to Plone at all.

I've done all of the tasks described above with the exception of making the Plone Translators group owned by the Plone team, as I couldn't find a group called Plone Translators.

Hi Tom.

Thx for your quick reply and great work!

"The Plone Translators" is in the list at https://translations.launchpad.net/plone/+changetranslators and it is currently the selected one. Looking further it seems https://translations.launchpad.net/+groups/plone is its official url and it's currently owned directly by Mark.

We would like to be able to appoint group members ourselves (as we have potentially dozens of them and don't want to bother anyone else with this ;)

Ok, that's been done.

Thanks, Tom
