SVN import

I put in a request to import from SVN on Google Code. After that's been done I want to use Launchpad for the project completely which means I don't want to sync from SVN after the initial import. Was requesting the import the correct way to accomplish this?

We can't convert an import branch into a hosted branch, if that's what you mean. In order to have a branch that you can continue to develop in Bazaar, you'll need to push your import to a new location, and then you can delete the import branch.

Another option would be to use bzr-svn to do the import, which is what we use. I wouldn't say either way was incorrect, but using bzr-svn would have put you completely in control of the import.
