Could someone unsubscribe ~karensha54 from Launchpad Answers?

Asked by Daniel Cassidy

Hi,

This user seems to have inadvertantly subscribed herself to receive email notifications of every question posted to Answers for the ‘Launchpad itself’ project: https://launchpad.net/~karensha54

If you look at her answer history, I think it’s fairly obvious that she didn’t intend to do this, and is probably baffled as to why she is now receiving hundreds of emails from complete strangers asking for help. Could someone take pity and unsubscribe her?

This is causing a nuisance for other users because her confused responses cause questions to get marked as ‘Answered’, which seems to delay getting an answer from someone who actually knows what they’re talking about.

Looking at the list of subscribers, I think there may be some other users who have made the same mistake, although they seem to be causing less trouble. Perhaps the interface should be changed to make this mistake less likely. For very high volume projects perhaps the feature should be removed altogether; it’s unlikely anyone really wants to receive that much email.

Thanks,
Dan.

heh, timing.
Noticed this myself yesterday and was chasing the devs for some sql for pretty much the exact same reason.

In any event, have now removed that user as an answer contact.

Cheers!
