Change team mailing list

Asked by David Farning

I am having trouble setting up the team mailing list for sugarteam under launchpad.

At https://launchpad.net/~sugarteam the mailing list is listed as <email address hidden> .

While, in fact the mailing list name we have used since July of 2008 is <email address hidden> as shown on https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-sugarteam .

I think that I set this mailing list before launchpad could handle mailing list.

Is it possible to remove/purge the unused <email address hidden> and reset the registered team mailing list as <email address hidden> ?

thanks

David,

I have purged the unused mailing list from this team. You should be able to re-register a new mailing list now without any problems.

Michael,

Thanks for purging the unused mailing list.

But now I am unable to assign the existing mailing list https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-sugarteam to the team via team page.

thanks

I don't believe there's any way to assign the mailing list within LP to an external mailing list - you have the mailing list address set as the contact address for the team, and I believe that's as much as can be done. If you'd like to file a bug about that, please link this question to it, or use the "Create a bug report" link.

Thanks, Tom
