Launchpad is very difficult and UNFRIENDLY!

To ask a question, I have to logout and find home page to finally trace the link "Ask a Question" ! There is absolutely no link to ask a question when you browse Answers or when you are in your account !. This is truly bad. Usually most of them who visit Launchpad home page rapidly ask a question or a doubt to be clarified ASAP. With existing Launchpad, this is impossible because the "Ask a question" link is tucked and hidden way down many pages!. It is truly upsetting that Launchpad is poorly structured and disorganised, does not meet the most immediate requirement of a user. Hope this calls for attention and the whole site gets resolved for the better.

I appologise for the inconvenience. You do not need to login our out to ask a question, but you do need to find a project that the question relates to. Questions are owned by projects. The volunteers who answer questions are helping a project.

When you search/browse all questions, there is not enough information for you to ask a question. If you searched in a specific project, the ask a question link would appear, as too would the all the other links for questions in a project.

The Answers application is a community application. Users help define the features and help write them, and they do so from their project's perspective. The launchpad team reviews the code--the team is not actively developing the application. Your concerns are genuine, and they have been discussed several times. I think the launchpad-answers application needs more contributors to make it a better tool, and it needs people who can look at the problem from outside their own project's need.
