Kaingang team translate

Asked by zedomel

I work in a project called "Aboriginal Web", which has a propose to develop a web in a Kaingang language.
Kaingang is a Indian tribe in Brazil. Due the growth of modern civilizations Kaingang's have lost their contact with language, because they can't use their language in our world, they don't give importance for their language, learning Portuguese and also English. But is very import to preserve this culture, and base on this we want translate Ubuntu to a Kaingang language, so Kaingnag's will have a OS in their own language and will give more importance for their language, which is not obsolete any more.

The project involves translate of other upstream and development of web site with Kaingang language like Wikis, blogs, forums, etc...

Can you help me? How can I do this translate?

Regardless,

José.

This needs a rosetta admin to create a language in Launchpad, whose name is Kaingang and "kgp" as its code.

I have created the language entry but it is still missing plural form information. Please see the linked FAQ and provide that information here. Thank you!

FAQ #254: “Launchpad asked me for plural forms information. What info do you need?”.

Can you help with this problem?
