Codeplex SVN import failing

Asked by NathanBrown

The SVN import into https://code.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/irony/trunk is failing.

LookupError: Cannot find svn repository root

Can you check out what is going on? As far as I can tell there is no branches/trunk/root and the url I gave (https://irony.svn.codeplex.com/svn/) is the svn repository root and where the source code lives.

Thanks for helping with this,

Nathan

There's a really crappy bug in the software we use to import from Subversion into Bazaar such that we simply cannot import things from the root of an SVN repository. Sad but true. See bug 145240.

We're going to switch to use something better (bzr-svn instead of cscvs, see bug 359791) very, very soon now. In the meantime, you might want to try using bzr-svn yourself.

I created a bzr-svn import, let's see how that goes: https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~mwhudson/irony/trunk

This problem still has not been solved.

It looks like the import to https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~mwhudson/irony/trunk did not quite work. It failed with an assert. Once this code is working, can https://code.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/irony/trunk get updated?

Thanks.
