Launchpad itself

Can questions be asked directly to a launchpad team? Or can a team follow questions?

I'd like to see if there's any easy way in Launchpad for a question to be asked to a specific team.

For instance, when I go to the Ubuntu-Vancouver Launchpad answers page, https://answers.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-vancouver it claims that there's no questions asked, but if you search for "Vancouver" across all the questions, then it's clear that people are using this word as a tag for questions related to our LoCo members. Can our LoCo easily subscribe to these questions?

Interesting idea Eric.

The "vancouver" tag is originating based on our recommendation/encouragement for Ubuntu Vancouver LoCo members to externalize their support needs.

I'd be thrilled if we could just get a few more people to start using the tech support that we have. Having a somewhat automated way to alert us would be a bonus if/when people start to do that :)

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I'm happy you're looking down the road. Let's hope that we get deluged soon.

Randall, I'm going to mark this question back to Open so that developers of Lanuchpad can answer it. I'd like to hear if there's any way our LoCo can subscribe to all the Ubuntu questions that have the word Vancouver in them, or if it's possible for a question to be asked to the Ubuntu Vancouver Team.

You can ask a question and assign it to a specific team, but there is no way to ask a question from a specific team.

Paul, how do I assign a question to a team? You say I can, but I can't figure out how. For instance, how would I assign this question to the Ubuntu Vancouver team https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-vancouver ?

You need to edit the question and then you'll see an assignee text-box.

Upon editing the question I see only options to assign the question to a single Project or Distribution (with sub package). Teams are not able to be added.

I'm going to leave this question "answered" now as it appears the answer is a NO. (until Launchpad developers create such a feature).
