Please transfer project "evergreen" to an Evergreen developer (me)

Asked by Dan Scott

I am one of the core developers of the Evergreen open source library system (http://evergreen-ils.org). We'd like to make use of Launchpad for (at least) translations, but also have interest in hosting a bzr mirror of our Subversion repository and (subject to the API being released so that we have a guarantee that we can export our data) the bug tracking, answers, and blueprints functionality.

However, http://launchpad.net/evergreen was registered back in January by an undoubtedly well-meaning person with the plan of translating Evergreen to pt-BR. Unfortunately, there has been no activity, and no response to the email that I sent to jobdrb several weeks ago inquiring about the possibility of adding me as an admin so we can start exploring Launchpad from the inside out.

If the project was transferred to me, I would of course make jobdrb a member of the Evergreen translation team - we would love to have a pt-BR translation!

Note that during Evergreen's first open IRC development meeting this morning, we agreed to give Launchpad a try for three months (raw log available at http://evergreen-ils.org/irc_logs/evergreen/2009-10/%23evergreen.16-Fri-2009.log - browse around 2009-10-16T11:52:33) as a public bug repository / bzr mirror / answers / blueprints, in addition to translations. So, it's not just me pushing for this; the Evergreen development community supports this direction.

As an aside, it was interesting how each feature that people asked about ("does it support feature requests? code reviews? integration with Trac?") seems to have been addressed by Launchpad. Kudos to the Launchpad development team!
