how to start a translation project

Asked by devaleitzer

Hi!

i'm translating tiny tiny rss into my language (catalan) with some friends and I like to upload it to roseta to do the translation easier. Can someone explain me how can I start a new translation project?

Thanks,

Alfred

Don't register separate "translation projects." Register the project itself in Launchpad, and then allow it to be translated.

If you are not the author(s), you must coordinate with the authors. We require this to prevent confusion and ownership battles, but also to avoid people making contributions to the translation that are never used. For instance, if the program already has a German translation somewhere else, but people start translating your Launchpad project to German as well, then those people are doing needless work.
