Please delete lp:~vcs-imports/tomboy/head or update to use git master (instead of obsolete SVN)

Asked by Sandy Armstrong

Like the rest of GNOME, Tomboy has moved from SVN to git. The current vcs-import is therefore very behind. It should be deleted, or updated to pull from git master:

git://git.gnome.org/tomboy

If I try to put "git://git.gnome.org/tomboy" as the Git import source, I get this error:

The URI scheme "git" is not allowed. Only URIs with the following schemes may be used: http, https, svn

I thought we supported Git now, so I'm confused. Assigning to someone who might know more.

We can't actually just change the URI of the existing import. We must delete the old one and create the new one. The original import cannot be deleted until it is no longer the development focus.

I did go ahead and create the new import. It can be found here: https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/tomboy/trunk

If you can switch the development focus over to this new branch, I'll delete the old one.

Can we rename the new import from "trunk" to something that corresponds more directly with git? For example, "master".

If "trunk" is the terminology you are using for imports from GNOME git, then nevermind.

But if you are going to rename it, I need to know if I have to wait for the rename before I switch the development focus.

Thanks!

I've renamed the branch to "master".

You don't need to wait for the name change to make it the development focus.

Okay, I made a new series called "master" associated with your branch (thanks!), and set that to be the development focus.

So once you delete the old "head" branch we're all done, right? Marking as solved, really appreciate the quick help.

Oh, and I also deleted the "head" series that was associated with the old "head" branch.

Can you please remove the series link from the old branch? It cannot be deleted with the old series link.

The link can only be changed by the Junk Mongers. I've asked an admin to
remove it.
