Launchpad itself

Would someone be able to reset my user Pete Cowley (prcowley) as I can't log into launchpad to raise a bug - my account has been screwed up for quite some time. even though I can read bugs, I can't raise them. Thanks a lot

My launchpad account seems a bit screwed up. I can login and read and respond to bugs but can't raise them.
All very strange and has been like this for quite some time and I would dearly like to get it sorted out

How do you try creating a bug report and what exactly happens when you try this?

I click on "Report a bug" from my signed in Launchpad account and it takes me to the Wiki and down the rabbit hole I go.

Sometimes I end up with a Launchpad login but it does not accept my password (even though I was already logged in)

If you use the terminal, you can run:

ubuntu-bug packagename

eg:

ubuntu-bug firefox

Which will start the process for you. Dead easy

Thanks for this answer. I did see the command "ubuntu-bug" mentioned in the wiki but I was actually expecting a form that I would fill in. So the problem is, my expectation did not match reality, so I have adjusted my expectation accordingly.

I am confident with the terminal so I will use the ubuntu-bug <package name> in future.
