OAuth token generated . . in Launchpad

Asked by Myles Morales

A new OAuth token consumer was enabled in Launchpad.

Question? Is this confirmation that the fingerprint results after issuing gpg --fingerprint has been accepted? The reason for the inquiry is I received another message that reads "There seems to be a problem with the fingerprint you submitted." Then I am instructed to try again. Please advise?

Myles

Hello,

The error message is only sent either if the fingerprint doesn't exist, or if there is a problem with it such as it being less than 32 characters. It is possible that network problems could cause such an issue too. Trying again may solve the issue.

Received the key after typing the line command to install gnupg; gpg full
generate key; lastly gpg fingerprint. I selected rsa3072 and the key was
generated. I checked for the key and it was automatically attached after
selecting utilities for passwords and keys.

I tried three times, all three times the key was accepted and I was waiting
for an email reply from launchpad to confirm. More than an hour later an
email appeared with this title "OAuth token generated . . . . in Launchpad"
If I received this email my original question was is this the actual
confirmation email. I am not able to submit a bug report until I sign the
launchpad agreement which needs access to the newly confirmed generated
key.

Peace and Struggle

After trying again I received the following:

Next, Launchpad will send email to you at <email address hidden> with
instructions on finishing the process.

I have not received the email from Launchpad to finish.

Hello Myles,

Sorry for the delayed response, I tried reproducing the problem but failed.

Just to make sure, have you followed the steps mentioned in: https://launchpad.net/~[your-user-name]/+editpgpkeys ?

If you did, can you give us another explanation as to what steps you have taken?

Once again, sorry for the delay,
Best regards
