failed to build i386 message

Asked by Larry Jordan

Hi. Finally got a successfuly upload and started PPA for missile command. Received build error message stating it failed to build for i386. Reviewed PPA page and see it built for amd64 and lpia. Reviewed build log at https://launchpad.net/~larryjor/+archive/ppa/+build/1161732/+files/buildlog_ubuntu-jaunty-i386.missile_1.0.1_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz and it looks like the xdg package is missing. My understanding was that Ubuntu (at least jaunty) was xdg compliant, but guess maybe that means it 'follows the rules' without necessarily installing xdg (which by the way is a menu editor package). Does that need to be added as a dependancy just to get the game into the menu?
Admittedly, I edited that portion of the makefile, which original author says in comments he wasn't sure about or comfortable with. He simply copied the desktop file into directories, which may have worked in older versions (or other versions) of linux and may/may not have worked here.
What should I do to complete this?

This isn't a Soyuz question per se, but I believe the fix to your
problem is just adding a build-dependency on the xdg-utils package,
which is what provides xdg-desktop-menu.
