Offsite installations of launchpad (commerial)

Asked by Craig Hewetson

I would like to know if its possible for a company to have an instance of launchpad running on its internal servers? Obviously it would mean special pricing and licensing etc.
Many companies, including the one I work for, do not want to host their software outside their firewall.

Hi Craig,

Launchpad is now open source (see the announcement at http://blog.launchpad.net/general/launchpad-is-now-open-source for details). So you can download a copy of the source code and have a go at running it inside your organization if you want.

Running Launchpad as a production service is no small task and not one you should have to tackle. We offer commercial services at Launchpad.net for a small fee and that includes many features for the enterprise such as keeping your bugs and code private. When you host your project with us at Launchpad you gain from the network effects of being in the same ecosystem as the thousands of other projects already on Launchpad.

More information on hosting commercial projects on Launchpad can be found at https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+faq/208.

There may be other ways we can work with you to accomplish your goals. Please contact us at <email address hidden> if you have other questions.
