The other Galician writing system

Asked by Jon Amil

Galician language have two writing systems:

- The 'official' one (often called 'normativo'), included in LaunchPad (which ortografy is Castilian-like)
- The 'unofficial' one (mostly knowed as 'reintegrado' or galician-portuguese). This writing system is like the Portuguese, and using this one Galician becomes a variant of Portuguese.

(Sorry if my explanation is not very clear, you can look these better at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reintegrationism )

So, my question is: It is possible start a translation for galician-portuguese, using a variant of Galician or Portuguese ISO code (I mean, using por example gl@reintegrated or gl@pt)?

Thanks!

The problem is that for now, variants are not supported. We are hoping to change that someday, and we have a plan, but for now it's not on our priority list.

Can you help with this problem?
