unsuscribe

Asked by gissi

I really don't know what to do in order to stop receiving 100 mails per day!!! Don't know how to unsuscribe. If anyone can do it, I would kindly ask him to cancel my e-mail address from all mailing list. I really don't know how to do it and I assure you I tried to learn it. NO information about how to unsuscribe. You should send a link via e-mail to unsuscribe form a topic!

You should be able to unsubscribe from mailing lists at:
  https://edge.launchpad.net/~gcerina-deactivatedaccount/+editemails

You can also get to this page by going to your profile page, click "Change details", then "E-mail Settings".

Thank you but NO WAY. I switched to "never subscribe me..." but nothing change. I tried to unsuscribe and I managed it but 100 emails per day service does not decrease. How can it be possible?

Hi gissi,

Can you paste an example of the emails that you're getting from Launchpad so that we can try and find out what's causing your problem?

rocps (1:3.2.8-1ubuntu2) karmic; urgency=low

* New patch 60_linux_version_init, fixes linux version detection. This
relied on a side-effect of the elf loader and previously hoped that
constructors would be called in a certain order. That behavior was
undefined and hence unreliable. For newer kernels, an elf note is now
checked to extract HZ tick count. (LP: #364656).

Hi Graham BInns,

I managed to deactivate my account but emails didn't decrease. Therefore I re-activated my account (same ID same email) and tried to change email (I created a new mail account just to receive launchpad mails). Notwithstanding I keep receiving 30 mails per day at my previous (first) account. Does it make sense to you?

Hi,

Can you please post a complete example of your mail, including its mail headers. Then I will be able to track down the source of the emails.

Based on the one you posted above, it looks like you're subscribed to the Ubuntu karmic-changes list.

but I need to see more info to confirm that.

Hi gissi,
You can unsubsribe this from the following link:https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+subscribe
and then unchecking the checkbox and sav the changes.
This will mean that you will no longer recieve the unwanted mails.
I hope this helps you!

Hi Mayank Goel,

thank you for your kind attention.

The fact is that I appear as unsuscribed! The only option I have clicking that link is "I want to receive these notifications by e-mail".
Anyway I will try to suscribe and unsuscribe!

Thanks anyway

Hi gissi,

As mentioned you are subscribed to the karmic-changes list, to unsubscribe please visit https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/Karmic-changes and follow the instructions.

As a side-note emails sent by Launchpad will always have a 'footer rationale', where we try to explain why that email was sent.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask gissi for more information if necessary.
