Create 'mypidge' project group

Can you provide some more information about how you want to setup the projects?

mypidge (project group)
    pidge (project) -- a web app
    pidge-local (project) -- local apps

Pidge should be a separate project group to MyPidge.
Pidge is a software project independent of any given locale, and mypidge is a university society at Cambridge. Both are / will be producing a number open source applications for Django - each application should be source controlled and developed separately. But both will be developing items that have a very different focus: mypidge on university campus and Cambridge-specific stuff, pidge on generic web site stuff.

If you provide me with the url name and display name of of the project group?

Unless a project group can contain another project group, then no that is not what I want.

The individual Django applications are designed to be usable separately, and thus should be versioned separately.

Currently the pidge project group [https://launchpad.net/pidge] contains projects pidge-identities, pidge-locations, pidge-email, pidge-registration all of which have separate functions and uses, and can all be used independently.

mypidge would ideally act in the same way - with mypidge-balls, mypidge-lectures, mypidge-society etc.

okay. I understand what you want. This is a complication. You already have a project named https://launchpad.net/mypidge. It has the name you want to use for the project group. Either an administrator can rename that project, or you can choose a different name for the project group.

Rename mypidge to mypidge-base please.
