from IRC @ freenode.net #sugar
<tomeu> xhema: you mean doing the translations first in launchpad, then importing in sugarlabs' pootle?
<xhema> yes
<xhema> cause we have more people on launchpad
<xhema> working activly, 70 translators for albanian
<tomeu> xhema: that sounds good to me, but would be better to check with unmadindu
<unmadindu> xhema: when you complete - please send me a zip of the PO files, and I'll take care of them in Pootle :)

Hi James,
From the Launchpad Translation point of view you can create a Launchpad Albanian localization team and ask here to be appointed to the Albanian Translations

You can read more about Launchap localization team here:
https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/LaunchpadTranslators

Also maybe you would like to contact the Ubuntu Albanian translators team and work togher for project not direcly included in Ubuntu
https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-sq

Now, if you want to translate a software/project in Launchpad, you must first create a Launchpad Project for that piece of software. A good idea is to ask the project maintainers to do that.
Then they will have to push the .POT files in Launchpad and enable translations for those projects.

To summarize, you will have to work with translators and set up a Launchpad Albanian Translation team and on the other side, you will have to work with project maintainers and ask them to enable Launchpad Translations for their project and to update the translation template with each new release.

If you have any other question, or if something is not clear, please don't hesitate to ask here.
Cheers!
