Removing superseded packages.

Asked by Nicola Ferralis

Hi,

my hardybleed and intrepidbleed ppa show both still old and superseeded packages for sun-java6. I recently rebuild more recent versions but the older ones are still there, taking space (I am almost over the quota). I removed those most recent packages in the hope that even the old one would be removed, but the old one are still there. Before I recompiled the most recent version, could you please manually remove all the superseded packages in these repos?

Thanks!
Nick

Hi there,

Unused superseded packages (source and binaries) will be removed in 24 h and deleted packages immediately. The removal procedure runs every 30 minutes.

If you want to anticipate the removal of a superseded packages access the PPA 'Delete packages' page, find your package (use the status filter) and delete it manually.

All this information is available in the PPA index page, for instance:

https://edge.launchpad.net/~hardybleed/+archive/ppa?field.name_filter=java&field.status_filter=any&field.series_filter=any
