Need to upgrade ubuntu

I got ubuntu 9.04 cd i want upgrade with it .Will it be possible for me to upgrade 8.10 with new cd that i got specifiy step if so.

yes you should be able to upgrade with no problem. i would rather recommend you to upgrade using the internet. it is way easier. i hope that helps.
