Github issues import failing on bug tracker

Asked by ԜаӀtеr Ⅼарсһуnѕkі

I feel like I remember this being asked before but the only one I could find was from 12 years ago, so probably not relevant anymore.

Anyways, importing Github issues via the bug tracker isn't working. It hasn't for a while. What's annoying is that the issues have sort of accumulated and it's kind of created a mess.

Here's an example though I'm sure you're well aware.

Going to https://bugs.launchpad.net/lxqt/+bug/1912841/+editstatus one can indeed see an error ("Launchpad couldn't import bug #711 from github.com/lxqt/lxqt-config/issues.").

When you say "for a while" can you be more specific? Is it a matter of a couple of days, weeks, months...?

Since as long as I can remember GitHub issues being an importable option. Years.

The support of GitHub issues *at all* has existed since 2016, so I can only imagine this has been going on since then. Reference for that:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/848666

I linked some related bugs I found.

Seems like something we need to look deeper into.
