Launchpad itself

It says my preferred username is taken but when I check that name it shows nothing

Hi,

I would like to use my usual username mboeker (like my current username but without hyphen), but when I try to change it it says that username is already taken. However when I look at https://launchpad.net/~mboeker I see the page does not exist. I would love it if I can get that username!

This was due to a placeholder account for a user that never created an account in Launchpad.
Since that placeholder has been around since 2021 without any account or activity associated, I've renamed it - so your preferred username should now be free.
