changing a project home page

Asked by Peter F. Patel-Schneider

I am an administrator in the Solaar unifying team and I need to change the home page of the project - https://launchpad.net/solaar-unifying - to update the short description of Solaar there and point to the correct GitHub code location.

How do I go about doing that?

Hi Peter, the project owner can edit the project home page and description. https://launchpad.net/~trebelnik-stefina is the owner of this project and they can edit it. So please request them to do so.

So only the project owner, not even an administrator? Can an administrator change the owner?

Hi Peter, a site-wide administrator can change it. But that would require the project owner to request us and they could do it themselves instead.

Regarding your question about changing the owner, we would need evidence that the current owner is not around and active. Then from our side, we will still try to reach out to the current owner to get their confirmation regarding the ownership transfer (with a reasonable timeout) before making that change.

I can see from their profile page that https://launchpad.net/~trebelnik-stefina is active. So please reach out to them to get this sorted out.

OK, I asked the owner to make the change and I'll get back to you if there is no response. I've cc'd you on the message to start a record just in case an ownership change is necessary.
