Mirror Probe Scan - Invalid HTTPS Certificate

Asked by Ivan Razin

Hi,

I registered a mirror at https://mirror.veesp.com/ubuntu/ that has been validated but the probes always fail with the errors :

Wed Jan 10 15:04:16 2024: Deleted MirrorDistroArchSeries of ubuntu noble armhf main with url https://mirror.veesp.com/ubuntu/dists/noble/main/binary-armhf/Packages.gz because: Invalid SSL certificate when trying to probe mirror.veesp.com:443.
Wed Jan 10 15:04:16 2024: Deleted MirrorDistroArchSeries of ubuntu noble amd64 main with url https://mirror.veesp.com/ubuntu/dists/noble/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz because: Invalid SSL certificate when trying to probe mirror.veesp.com:44

The certificate is valid using apt or in a browser so what is the problem ?

Regards, Ivan

FWIW this seems to be https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/1885585 and is either a problem with the prober itself or with how it's deployed.
