Request to take over the GNU project

I'm a member of the GNU Project (https://www.gnu.org/people/people.html#bandali) and am involved in many areas and aspects of it, including its administration, and would like to take over https://launchpad.net/gnu here on Launchpad and maintain its associated information here.

Update: per quick chat with cjwatson, I'm amending my request to ask that ownership for the project be transferred to new ~gnu-admins team I just created.
