launchpad fails to import from Debian non-free-firmware component

Hello, as reported on irc

rmadison -u debian virtualbox:
virtualbox | 7.0.4-dfsg-3 | unstable/contrib | source

syncpackage virtualbox:
Version in Debian 7.0.4-dfsg-1 (unstable) isn't newer than Ubuntu 7.0.4-dfsg-1 (lunar-proposed)

Somewhere the new non-free-firmware component in Debian broke the import of some packages.
