Hi,

Can you provide more details on the steps that you followed and the issue you encountered?

Even though I have been logged into Ubuntu Advantage at the time, every time I have tried to go on Ask Ubuntu I am prompted to sign in separately. I have opted to sign in via Launchpad when this has happened. And each time it has asked me to select read/write permissions to my profile information. Then the other day I got a notification saying something to the effect of I had multiple tokens authorized.

I am experiencing relentless cyber-bullying and manipulation EVERY DAY for the past 8-9 months! So anything like this raises concern with me.

I hope that helps to explain.

Ubuntu Advantage isn't related to Ask Ubuntu's login process.

It sounds like Ask Ubuntu is failing to store the session information that it gets by way of an OAuth token exchange with Launchpad. This could be because of a bug in Ask Ubuntu, or perhaps you've configured your browser to reject all cookies which would mean that Ask Ubuntu wouldn't be able to store the session information. Ask Ubuntu does authenticate against Launchpad, but aside from that, none of this is in our control - the admins of Ask Ubuntu would probably be in a better place to debug this if it doesn't turn out to be just a simple browser misconfiguration.

You can see the tokens that you've authorized for use with Launchpad at https://launchpad.net/~/+oauth-tokens, and revoke them if needed. Of course, revoking a token that something is in fact successfully using will cause that application to prompt you for authorization again.

So this is happening again. I’ll try to add screenshots from moments ago. I just logged in and had 2 different tokens from last night’s login: the one I chose which did not “take” for no access and a second read only non-private data.

This on top of a discovery from earlier when I was shutting down my computer are keeping me damn well spooked! Ubuntu 22.04.1 (which is supposed to be a desktop NOT a server) froze during shutdown when it couldn’t close 11 different sessions each of which was opened with my username. I am still having repeated security problems on my home network (the router is in-securable due to ACS initiated configs pushed to it in violation of any official protocol I have been able to find — Thanks Windstream!!).
