Temorary disable e-mail notifications during bulk actions

Asked by Daniel Schürmann

With Mixxx, we are in a process to migrate all Launchpad bugs as GitHub issues. For reference we add a link to the Launchpad bug to the GitHub issue and like to do the same at Launchpad. The idea is to add this as a bug comment.

However we are concerned about the flood of emails this will create.
We have ~6 k bugs with ~25 Subscriptions.

Is there a way to add a comment without notify anyone using the Launchpad API?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Daniel
Quick note to say we are discussing internally to decide what the best route would be for you to achieve this.
Will post updates here as we have them.

Do you have any news?
Currently we add such messages manually, in case of bug activity.
A post for all bugs would be helpful see:

Hi Daniel

Sorry this took a while, we now have the design for a solution that will enable you to add the comments via the API but it requires development on our side.

Can you please convert this question into a Bug - I will start development on this today, you will be able to track the progress on the Bug all the way to release.

Thank you for your patience!
