Why is riscv64 a restricted processor?

In the "Change details" menu for both of my PPAs, the riscv64 architecture is restricted (that is, can only be enabled or disabled by administrators). I would like to have it enabled for both PPAs to catch as many build regressions as possible. Why is this architecture restricted?

Yes, the rationale I gave in the ticket Manfred linked to is still valid and is why the architecture is restricted. I'm afraid we cannot enable it for you at this time.
