Merge 2 lp accounts

Asked by Wouter van Bommel

I would like to merge 2 launchpad accounts. Both have 2fa and I have no idea what the token of the 2nd one could be.

Both will bear my name, one (that has to stay) is ~woutervb, the other one is a gmail account I can confirm. And it is the gmail one that has the lost 2fa token.

Do you know the username of the second account? I can't obviously find it.

I have no idea how to find it, can share the email via another channel if that is useful. But since it asks for a 2fa if I try to login I assume it exists.

I received the email address from Wouter and there is no related Launchpad account for it.

$ lp-shell production devel
# email address redacted
>>> lp.people.getUserData(<email address hidden>")
{'status': 'no data held'}
>>>

Wouter, why do you think you have a second account? Or let's rephrase.. what did you try to achieve and which error did you see?

Jim, you were in fact set as an answer contact on https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad. I've removed you now.

When I joined there were quite a lot of issues going on with my account,
and I thought I remembered that there was a 2nd lp account still active,
but that must be my bad.
Thanks for looking into it
