linux mint won't accept any commands for geary ppa

Asked by Sharon Nichols

Deleting current Geary (3.1) to install newest version, I followed the advice on a Linux assist site that gave two remove commands, stating best practice if reinstalling. Well, now it's so gone all commands to reinstall keep getting 'This PPA does not support focal'.
I thought I had it with apt-get update then the add-apt-repository ppa:geary-team/releases and apt-get install Geary but keep getting same response.
I'm not techie in any fashion, but can follow instructions. Any thoughts?
cheers,
s

Additional information when having questions related to a PPA:

On each PPA page there is the note to contact the provider of the PPA in case of problems.

In this case:
https://launchpad.net/~geary-team/+archive/ubuntu/releases
"For questions and bugs with software in this PPA please contact Geary Launchpad."

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Sharon Nichols for more information if necessary.
