Kubuntu wiki personal details

Asked by MHDP

Hello everybody.

I've been scraping and cleaning personal information from the web (where possible, of course) and have recently stumbled upon https://wiki.kubuntu.org/MahoneyD82 , which is obviously me. Trying to login with the Launchpad my Launchpad account, linked on that very same page, gives an error message.

Is there any way to delete that page?

Also, any way to delete posts here on launchpad?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, I haven't been involved in the community for years and I'm kinfìd of lost.

Hi,

Do you have an OOPS ID from the error message you were given? That would let us try and find out the problem with your account preventing login.

Thanks,
Tom

Hello Tom,

I unfortunately don't know what the OOPS ID you're referring to is.

I may, however, try to describe what is happening, if that helps:

1. I click on the loginlink on the navigation menu for https://wiki.kubuntu.org/MahoneyD82, which then leads to https://wiki.kubuntu.org/MahoneyD82?action=login.

2. I then click on the Login button, which very briefly leads to a page that says "OpenID verification requires that you click this button", but it updates once more with no interaction on my part.

3. The page no says "No such action - The action specified by the URL is invalid. You might have mistyped the URL, or followed an incorrect link. This might also indicate a bug in the software used by KDE Community Wiki."

Disclosure: Earlier today I attempted to close my Launchpad account, not realizing I would need it to login on the KDE Wiki. So I used my credentials to login again and I changed my username from deactivated-etc to my current, original username. Is it possible that, even though I have the same username, I was issued a new certificate after I deactivated/reactivated the account, and I broke something?

Also, https://wiki.kubuntu.org/MahoneyD82 has the text "Immutable Page" on the upper left, could that potentially be an issue?

Thanks,
Daniel
