Can I take the username of an inactive account?
I recently became an Ubuntu Member. My current Launchpad ID is mark-barrenfroz
Now I can have an @ubuntu.com email address, I'd like to change my launchpad ID to something more approprate. Ideally I'd like to use mark.johnson, however, there is already an account with that ID:
https:/
Despite the ID, the visible name on the account is "Mark James". They are not a member of any teams, and do not appear to have any activity since joining in 2018. Is there a process in place for removing or renaming an account that appears inactive, freeing up the ID?

I'm waiting to try to get some more activity logs, and we'll get back to you.

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Open' state without activity for the last 15 days.

Sorry for the delay. It does seem as though that other account has been unused for a few years, so I've renamed it out of the way and renamed your account in turn to mark.johnson.
