Add PPA dependency

Asked by David B

I have two PPAs in my account, one, 'bluesky' contains content the other ('tomboy-ng') depends on. In the dependent PPA, I click the link that takes me to a page, heading 'Edit PPA dependencies' and there is a field there for me to specify the other PPA.

But I cannot workout the syntax to do so. How do I describe the other PPA ?

I have tried -
https://launchpad.net/~d-bannon/+archive/ubuntu/bluesky
~d-bannon/+archive/ubuntu/bluesky
bluesky
ppa:bluesky
ppa:~d-bannon/+archive/ubuntu/bluesky

What have I missed ?

Hi David

Try this adding this instead: ~d-bannon/ubuntu/bluesky

Yep, that worked.
Wow, how did you get to know that ?
And once added, its not even shown like that to help you remember the syntax.

I do think a little hint on the Edit page would not be excessive clutter !

Thanks Ioana, very helpful.
