remove old email address from my account

Asked by Piscium

I am cleaning up my accounts. I successfully merged two Launchpad accounts. This is my (merged) account:

https://launchpad.net/~piscium

I can log to this account with my Gmail email account, which is how I want it. However I can also log in with my Hotmail account with which I created a Launchpad account back in 2009.

Can you please remove this Hotmail account from your servers? I think I can request that based on GDPR. There seems to be no way for me to delete it, hence why I am asking you. Basically in your servers the only email account associated with ~piscium should be my Gmail account. If you have an old Yahoo account, also delete it.

Also please check if I have any other Ubuntu service tied to my Hotmail account. In 2009 (the year Linux became my main OS at home) I created an account in the old (PHP?) Ubuntu help forums. My user name on those forums was also Piscium. I still have the password for those forums. There is a likelihood that this old forum's account was/is also linked to my Hotmail account.

Thanks

Hi, Piscium! Thank you for getting in touch.

Please can you forward all data privacy correspondence to
<email address hidden> or use our online enquiries page here:

  https://www.ubuntu.com/legal/data-privacy-enquiry

(This goes to our legal team, who are able to coordinate deletion of
personal data across the whole of Canonical as required and hold us to
time limits for dealing with them; The Launchpad team itself, who usually answers the questions here, don't have the right access to do that on other Canonical systems)
