can't change "preferred" email and username, no longer active

looked at the FAQ relative to my issue = no joy.

My preferred email on your Ubuntu website remains the same, even though it is inactive. And added my new email in the list provided. However, I cannot designate this NEW email as preferred, nor can I even delete my old email (which also shows as my current username).

going to the LaunchPad site to "change details" does absolutely nothing. To save these changes, brings me right back to the beginning Ubuntu site, again, which does not allow any further changes--one big circle.

For ex: all I want to do to ic completely eliminate "<email address hidden>" as both my old email AND username...replacing BOTH with:
"<email address hidden>" that's it, nothing else

Hi,
Can you clarify that you mean https://login.ubuntu.com (SSO) when you refer to the 'ubuntu' site?

SSO and Launchpad have separate email address records, you would need to change them in both.
In Launchpad you can go to https://launchpad.net/~reb444/+editemails to add the new email address, then set it as preferred (in two operations). You should then be able to remove the existing one.

For SSO you need to go to https://login.ubuntu.com/+emails and perform similar operations.
