We only run the infrastructure for PPAs; we can't advise you on where to get particular pieces of software. You can search for PPAs on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+ppas, or by searching for a particular source package name on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu and then looking at "Other versions of ... in untrusted archives" at the bottom.
